very clever technique, I can honestly say that i wouldn't have ever thought of using tape to pull a "reverse" stencil ! i envy your brilliant ingenuity mrs. Rice, thinking outside of the box with simplicity is why i enjoy this channel as much as i do

Well that’s just annoyingly clever, lifting out a taped area for the house + negative painting for the shaded side. It’s details like that where I go “okay how the heck do they DO that” on the finished piece ✨ One day, I’m going to gain control over my wet-into-wet sky washes that still have light areas preserved. I have no self control lol
